  Dr. Kost is an angel of mercy. He worked with me through two different injuries that ended with chronic pain. He will not give up on you, and he is extremely sympathetic to his patients' pain. I have never once heard patients in the waiting room talk badly about him or any of his staff. Quite the opposite, in fact. Personally, his staff has always been cordial and professional in all of my interactions with them. I would unconditionally give Dr. Kost and this office 5 stars.

  Dr. Kost has been wonderful to me over the years at Bristol Hospital and then Blue Back square. He has the best "bedside manner" and ALWAYS shows compassion for his patients. After all we want to be validated when we are in pain not condescended to. He is so good that it became impossible to get an appointment with Dr Kost. His assistants are ok, but they are not HIM and he is who you want. I needed radio frequency following a 4 level cervical fusion. I had chronic headaches on the left side (surgery side) My date got changed and I was dying, so, he ended up referring me to Dr Grahling,, at CT.Comprehensive Pain Management, in Plainville, CT. He also is very good, but he is not as personable as Dr Kost is. Very stoic and not responsive when things go wrong. after the 2nd RF caused me to get "spaghetti legs",for many weeks and I ended up in the ER, he was angry at me. Not sure why, because the first RF worked great. There is one nurse in Dr Kosts office who is the most rude thing out there. Everyone says it not just me. She is a snippy, rude, witch who has zero compassion for someone that works in a PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINIC. Dr. Kost needs to get rid of her vibe, because it is not at all helpful, needed or wanted, I wish I could remember her name. She has no business working around people. Little wretch. I read the other review about someone having a bad result from an ESI, and then kicked out for having marijuana in their urine test. Dr. Kost sits on the DCP Medical Marijuana Board. As long as a person has been issued a medical mj card, legally, there is no foundation, to "kick" anyone out of any pain mgmt clinic. . That is pretty hypocritical at best & Dr Kost should walk the walk. Does Dr Kost recommend medical mj & prescribe narcotics, like he advocates? I have it in writing from a 2015 DCP board meeting. Those shots over time, just wear off. I got them for over 10 years and I am done. I even tried the pain pump trial. Not a fan of those wires pulling out just for tying my shoe. I am anti-injection now. That is why I TRIED the medical mj program. Nobody wants to prescribe actual pain medication any more. Plus, who can afford those pricey urine screenings, every (3) months"? My insurance will not pay for them that often claiming; "not medically necessary". People in chronic pain, are looked down on, judged and dismissed. January 2016 I ended up listening to Dr Kosts advice, (waiting for artificial discs) made an appointment to see Dr Aferzon, who ordered a new MRI of my lumbar spine. In 10 days, WC approved a 360 degree lumbar fusion with 2 artificial discs to be implanted, where L-4&5 collapsed. I had the worst spurring and every disc was bulging and I had "too many tears to count." I am here t say, that the surgery was a SUCCESS, no more rods and screws people! These artificial discs invented by Dr Joseph Aferzon, are amazing. Middlesex hospital is the place to go and get your LIFE BACK. Thank you Dr Kost for your sound advice to wait as long as I could to get the fusion, "because better things are to come".~
